Hey Keith, thanks for the wonderful video. A quick question. @43:30, if we assume that everything in this network topology stays the same, except SW3 and SW2 are connected via Fast Ethernet with the cost of 19, SW3 2/3 would still be designated port, we would then put SW2 2/2 interface in a blocking state? Would SW2 3/0 then become Root port, with SW1 0/0 becoming Designated, and SW2 1/3 would become Designated, and SW1 1/2 would become undesignated? Did I guess it correctly? I'm really struggling with this one and I am watching this for the 6th time, but I am eager to get my CCNA and won't give up after a few failed attempts. Thanks a lot, you are an amazing dude!

Hi Keith! Great video! How does the security policy come into play with our source NAT security policy? For example, say I have a server in my DMZ or something that I only want to access certain IP's on the internet. I would imagine I would put these security rules before my more general source NAT security rule. Would that interfere with the NAT policy or would it still hit on that? Thanks!

Im committed to cCNA and beyond but I’m pondering getting cct and hopefully entry job and take this as far as I can I have a long story but now that I’ve started last September I got my google IT pro and A+ I love this stuff I’d lived in a shelter and take internship and work for free to get this going it’s the only thing I want to do at this point in my life I’m changing careers I’ve been in along time

WOW! Talk about a challenge. I spent hours trying to complete this lab troubleshooting. I wasn't successful, but after watching you, Keith, and how you went about it, I learnt a huge amount. Thank you again for your tireless efforts to not just teach, but have fun doing it at the same time.

Haha, I tried the lab before looking at the video. After 10 minutes, I found the VLAN issue and all the clients were getting their appropriate IPs. But that web issue got me good, Dan! I was looking everywhere else bar the index page. Loved it mate, real troubleshooting. I can imagine someone doing this in the real world.

You are very good at networking I hope I can understand all of this like you it’s impressive how many years have you been learning this?

With my WD SN570 it just makes contact with the thinner thermal pad. I'll see how it goes. I might add the second thin pad. The thick one is thicker than the two thin ones combined. For people with double sided NVMEs, you might find a thin pad between the drive and the PCB makes contact there too. With my single sided NVME drive, none of the pads were quite the right thickness to do that and it's not really necessary. So I'd say it's a bit fiddly, but following the Sabrent video and pictures, or this video, makes it easier than trying to do other odd things with the components. The instructions in the box though aren't great, so I can understand why some people did odd things!

Does anyone have any recommendations for beginner friendly labs to configure physical Cisco switches rather than packet tracer?

Why no one talks about the multicast MAC address? I had to search several sites to understand how the NDP works at layer 2. Everything sounds great at layer 3, but a normal switch will only forward frames, what is it supposed to do with an IPv6 packet destined to a solicited node multicast IPv6 address?
